BHUBANESWAR: A low pressure area has formed over West central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood on Thursday. The system will be very close to South Odisha coast on 10th Sept.22.The system will move along the coast up to 11th Sept.22 and thereafter, the movement will be Northwestwards in North Odisha region.
Under its influence, rainfall intensity will increase from 9th night. Widespread moderate rain from 9th night to 11th morning in South Odisha and adjoining coastal Odisha region with heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few locations in the districts of Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Bolangir, Khurdha, Cuttack, Nayagarh, Angul, Ganjam, Rayagada, Gajapati, Nawarangpur, Puri and Jagatsinghpur.
From 11th Sept, widespread moderate rainfall will increase in North Odisha region and would continue up to 12th Sept. with heavy to very heavy falls at a few locations in Khurda, Cuttack,Jajpur,Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Angul,Deogarh, Sundergarh, Mayurbhanj, Sambalpur and Jagatsinghpur.However, there is probability of very heavy rainfall in Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on 10th and 11th Sept.22.
