Groundbreaking ceremony for the second campus of Kendriya Vidyalaya-2 in Nuapada, Cuttack New building to be constructed within 2 years at a cost of around Rs 40 crore – Dharmendra Pradhan

CUTTACK: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who is on a visit to Cuttack, today laid the foundation stone for the construction of the second permanent campus of the much-awaited Kendriya Vidyalaya-2 at Nuapada, Madhupatna, on the occasion of ‘National Space Day’.

On this occasion, Shri Pradhan Cuttack specially congratulated the people of Nuapada. He said that the Ganesh Puja is coming up ahead and it is a great achievement for the people of the area that this campus will be dedicated to Shri Ganesh. Due to the non-cooperation of the previous government, there was a delay in the construction process of this campus. Due to the efforts of the public representatives of Cuttack and the people of the area, the BJP government has taken up its work. In the next 2 years, a new building will be constructed here at a cost of about Rs. 40 crores. Facilities will be provided for teaching from class I to class XII along with a nursery. Classrooms and ancillary facilities will be made to suit the needs of the students, so that the current number of 400 students can be increased to 1000. This school will provide quality education to the children of the local area in the coming days and fulfill the educational needs. This school will be in the form of an attractive Vidya Mandir, which will play its major role in building a new Odisha.

He further said that Odia children will be world champions when they understand everything well. To understand everything well, the students will have to be proficient in Odia language. Great personalities like prominent scientists Bharat Ratna Abdul Kalam and Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das have brought glory to our country by teaching in their mother tongue. Only by teaching in mother tongue can the dream of ‘Developed Odisha’ by 2036 and ‘Developed India’ by 2047 be fulfilled. Shri Pradhan prayed that Kendriya Vidyalayas will take a leading role in this direction.

Shri Pradhan asked the students about the importance of National Space Day and the vision of a developed Odisha and a developed India. Cuttack MP Bhartruhari Mahatab and Cuttack MLA Prakash Chandra Sethi were prominent participants in this program.
