NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR:Governor of Odisha Dr. Hari Babu Kambhampati, while participating in the Odisha Parva-2026 organized in New Delhi on Sunday, called for a collective resolve to build a prosperous, inclusive and progressive Odisha as Odisha moves towards the centenary of its statehood in 2036.
On this occasion, the Governor said that the year 2036 is not only an important chapter in Odisha’s historical journey, but also an opportunity for everyone to come together and work towards building a stronger and more developed Odisha by remembering the state’s achievements, preserving its rich cultural heritage, and preserving its rich cultural heritage.
The Governor also said that it was a matter of great joy and pride for him to attend the Odisha Parva organized in New Delhi. The festival has become a great platform to showcase the spirit, consciousness and cultural richness of Odisha in New Delhi. Over the years, the festival has become a unique event that brings together art, culture, heritage, entrepreneurship and the collective identity of Odias living across the world, the Governor said.
Referring to this year’s theme “Culture and Nature”, the Governor said that it beautifully reflects the unique character of Odisha where culture and nature have come together. Through handicraft and art exhibitions, classical and folk dance performances, traditional music, food traditions and intellectual discussions, the festival has given the audience a glimpse of the vibrant lifestyle and rich heritage of Odisha.
The Governor congratulated the Odia community of New Delhi for the successful organization of this festival and appreciated the dedicated efforts of the institution in promoting Odia culture, heritage and identity nationally and globally.
Referring to the rich civilizational heritage of Odisha, the Governor said that the identity of the state is deeply rooted in Lord Jagannath, who has passed on the message of equality, inclusion and universal brotherhood to generation after generation.
In his speech, the Governor highlighted the invaluable contribution of renowned personalities like Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das, Fakir Mohan Sahabi and Gangadhar Meher in building the intellectual and cultural fabric of the state.
Moreover, Odisha, while preserving its heritage, is emerging as a hub of education, innovation and economic opportunity and has immense potential to make a significant contribution to India’s journey of progress, the Governor said.
