BHUBANESWAR: With the announcement, the amount was increased from Rs.2 lakh to Rs.5 lakh, a CMO statement said. This will benefit 8717 working journalists and their families in the state.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced hike in the amount of insurance in Gopabandhu Sambadika Swasthya Bima Yojana (health insurance scheme) for working journalists.
The journalists and their families were getting medical benefits up to two lakh rupees under Gopabandhu health insurance scheme. Now it has been increased to five lakh rupees so that the journalist and his family can get better medical services.
