Goal to bring about revolutionary changes in Odisha’s education sector by 2036 – Dharmendra Pradhan

BHUBANESWAR:A meeting was held on Thursday between Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan and Odisha School and Public Education Minister Shri Nityanand Gand regarding the development of the education sector in Odisha and the successful implementation of the National Education Policy. Senior officers of the Central and State Education Departments were present in the meeting and discussed in detail the educational priorities of Odisha.

The meeting focused on the implementation of the National Education Policy in the state and the preparation of new textbooks based on the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE). The progress of various central education schemes being implemented in Odisha was reviewed. Similarly, strategies have been formulated to reduce the dropout rate among school students and ensure quality, inclusive and accessible education for all.

The aim is to bring about a revolutionary change in the education sector to build a future-ready and ‘Prosperous Odisha’ by 2036. Union Minister Shri Pradhan said that under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and with the support of Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, the double engine government is fully committed to streamlining the education system of Odisha. He assured the Minister of School and Mass Education that the Union Government will provide all possible support to meet the educational needs of Odisha. It was expressed on this occasion that the State and the Union Government will work together to make the students of Odisha more efficient and competitive.
