BHUBANESWAR:A few days ago, an Odia student studying in a private medical college in Durgapur, West Bengal was brutally gang-raped. It was a very shameful and shameful incident. No matter how much we condemn it, it will be less. After this gang-rape, the Mamata Banerjee government of West Bengal did not make any effort to arrest the culprits. Banerjee’s government remained silent until the Odisha government put pressure on it. The perpetrators were arrested after pressure from Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, said State Women’s Morcha President Dr. Aishwarya Biswal at a press conference held at the state office.
Dr. Biswal informed that yesterday, he and Honorable MP Pratap Sarangi visited Durgapur with a team of BJP Women’s Front and met the victim. During the conversation with the victim, she was found to be under a lot of mental stress. On the other hand, it has been revealed that Mamata Banerjee has made false statements in the name of the victim. Mamata Banerjee lied that the victim left the medical campus after 12 midnight. While according to the press release of the medical college, the victim left the campus at around 8 pm. This has exposed Mamata’s lies.
As a woman, Mamata’s sympathy should be for women, she should show compassion for the victims of crime. But she is lying in the name of the victim to save the criminals. Mamata is saying that women should not go out at night. Which is a very sad and unfortunate statement. Hearing this, anger and resentment have arisen in the minds of every woman living in India. Mamata Banerjee should apologize to all mothers and sisters in this regard.
He is always raising his voice against the BJP Odisha government as an opposition leader. He has been supporting Naveen Patnaik by giving false information to the media. Mamata’s false statements and Naveen’s silence on the gang rape incident of the victim have revealed her contempt for women. It is clear from this that Mamata is using the Odia diaspora only as a vote bank, said Dr. Biswal.
The Bharatiya Janata Party wishes the victim good health, safety and a bright future and demands compensation. If Mamata really has respect for the Odias, prove that she sees the Odia diaspora living in West Bengal as human beings and not just as a vote bank. She should take the safety of the Odia diaspora into her own hands. Ensure the safety of women living in West Bengal, said Dr. Biswal.
