BHUBANESWAR/PURI: Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL), a leading Central PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, will organise a massive Swachh Bharat Campaign in pilgrimage city of Puri on Sunday, the Company said in a release on Saturday morning. The Cleanness drive will be carried from Penthakata to Pantha Niswas in Puri.
The program is being organized to clean the prominent places and to create awareness amongst the general people, tourists and students, triggering the behavioral change on cleanliness, hygiene and shramdaan at public place, informed Bishnu Prasad Panda, Senior Manager (HR).
Panda also hoped that a gathering of around 3000 is expected from general public., volunteers, prominent citizens, students from schools/colleges/educational institutions as well as civil & district administration, employees of PSU’s would be participating in the cleanliness drive at the Swachh Iconic Place – Puri.
Earlier, during last Ratha Yatra in July this year, Indian Oild Corporation Ltd had conducted cleanness drive in Puri while all Oil PSUs had also participated in a cleanness drive to clean Puri’s Golden Sea Beach.
