Puri: Gas Authority of India Ltd (GAIL), a leading Central PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, organised a massive Swachh Bharat Campaign in pilgrimage city of Puri on Sunday. The Cleanness drive carried from Penthakata to Pantha Niswas in Puri. BJP’s Puri MLA Jayant Sarangi inaugurated the campaign.
KB Singh, PC Choube, P Gopalkrishna, Dinabandhu Soren, Subhrajit Ghose, Arup Kumar Bhagat, Debasis Palit, Abhayankar Das, SK Jha, Debi Prasad Satpathy and BC Panda were among those Oil PSUs officer present.
The program was organized to clean the prominent places and to create awareness amongst the general people, tourists and students, triggering the behavioral change on cleanliness, hygiene and shramdaan at public place.
Thousands of general public., volunteers, prominent citizens, students from schools/colleges/educational institutions as well as civil & district administration, employees of PSU’s participated in the cleanliness drive at the Swachh Iconic Place – Puri.
Earlier, during last Ratha Yatra in July this year, Indian Oild Corporation Ltd had conducted cleanness drive in Puri while all Oil PSUs had also participated in a cleanness drive to clean Puri’s Golden Sea Beach.
