NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: With Saura Painting by Odisha Artisans at Crafts Bazaar captivating to the Eyes and tribal artisans and folk dancers drawing attention of global leaders who were gathered at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi for G20 Leaders Summit, State’s pride , Konark Sun Temple’s Konark Chakra has found a place at this global platform.
Leaders attending the Summit, were seen posing for welcome handshake with host Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Konark Chakra dazzling behind the scene.

A symbol of India’s civilisational, cultural and architectural excellence, the Konark chakra symbolises continuity and progress,’ Union Education, Entrepreneurship and Skill Development Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who hails from this eastern Indian State , said in a X post.
‘चलता चलाता कालचक्र, अमृतकाल का भालचक्र।,’ Union Railways and IT Minister Ashwini Vaishanaw said.

The Konark Wheel was built during the 13th century under the reign of King Narasimhadeva-I. The wheel embodies India’s ancient wisdom, advanced civilization, and architectural excellence. The rotating motion of the Konark Wheel, symbolizes time, Kalachakra as well as progress and continuous change. It serves as a powerful symbol of the wheel of democracy that reflects the resilience of democratic ideals, and commitment to progress in society.
