BHUBANESWAR/GUWAHATI/NEW DELHI: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and BJP National VP In Charge of Assam and Delhi, Baijayant ‘Jay’Panda on Sunday evening deeply condole the death of Padma Vibhushan and Rajya Sabha MP , Raghunath Mohapatra, who passed away due to COVID-19.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today announced the mortal remains of Rajya Sabha Member and Eminent Sculptor Padma Vibhushan Raghunath Mohapatra will be cremated with full-state honours. Mohapatra passed away today afternoon while undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.
Patnaik in a condolence message said Mohapatra will be remembered forever for his contribution to enrich the art and heritage of Odisha. He has a significant role in setting up Jagannath Temples at various places of the country. Also, he contributed towards repair work of Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri.

A man who could infuse life into stones, Raghunath ji was one of the biggest ambassadors of Odisha’s art, culture and history,” Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tweeted @dpradhanbjp.
