BERHAMPUR: A free infertility consultation camp was held at the Sitalapalli campus of SUM Hospital here on Sunday which was attended by a large number of childless couples from different parts of south Odisha.
The couples were counseled by Prof. (Dr.) Sujata Pradhan, Head of the Centre for Human Reproduction (CHR) at Institute of Medical Sciences and SUM Hospital at Bhubaneswar.
“Many couples were counseled about their problems and necessary remedial measures at the camp,” Prof. (Dr.) Pradhan said adding the objective of the camp was to extend to such couples proper advice for infertility related problems.
Such camps will be held at Sitalapalli campus of SUM Hospital on the third Sunday of every month with the cooperation of CHR, Mr. Deba Prasad Dash, Director of the hospital, said.
The camp was attended by Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Lenka, Medical Superintendent of the Phulnakhara campus of IMS and SUM Hospital. It was conducted by Dr. Smrutiranjan Patnaik, Dr. Subhasis Panigrahi, Dr. Rishika Sen of SUM Hospital, Sitalapalli, Dr. Subhangi Jena of IMS and SUM Hospital, Bhubaneswar, Assistant Nursing Superintendent, Ms. Archana Priyadarshini Tripathy, Nursing In-charge Ms. Iti Srabani, other nurses and clinical and non-clinical staff.
