BHUBANESWAR: Women should strike a balance between the family and career for the betterment of the society, Prof. Viney Kapoor Mehra, Founder Vice-Chancellor of Dr. B.R. Ambedkhar National Law University at Sonepat, said.
“Family is one of the important facets of India’s tradition and it is women who keep the family together,” she said while addressing students at the SOA National Institute of Law (SNIL), faculty of legal studies of SOA, here.
Prof. Mehra, who is also the Information Commissioner in Punjab and heads the women’s wing of Bharatiya Sikshan Mandal, said that women sacrifice a lot for the happiness of the family. But they should do it happily, she said.
The younger generation should do something worthwhile for the society instead of running after jobs, she said adding students should think about the development of the society.
