BHUBANESWAR:Inspired by the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji and the development work of the popular Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, former Rajya Sabha MP of BJD Amar Patnaik today joined the BJP. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, State President Manmohan Samal, State In-charge Vijayapal Singh Tomar, Former State President and National Executive Member Sameer Mohanty were present at the merger party held at the state office and welcomed Amar to the party with the party cap and northern attire.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Shri Majhi said that Amar is a prominent figure in the political journey of Odisha. He joined politics to serve the people after retiring from his job. Initially, he was in a regional party. As a Rajya Sabha MP, he raised many issues in the parliament for the interests of Odisha and demonstrated his skills. Earlier, he was in the BJD and raised his voice, but he could not work with an open heart. It is not only Amar, others who have left the Biju Janata Dal and joined the BJP today say that there is no freedom of speech in the BJD. Everyone from MPs to MLAs there is becoming stifled. But after joining the BJP, they can work with independent thinking. After joining the BJP, Amar must have also found freedom. As a government official, Amar used to review the work of the state government flawlessly. He has worked as a charioteer in the parliament for the interests of Odisha. He has a role to play in the cooperative movement. Now, by joining the BJP, he will help take the party further.
The party believes that he will play his role in state and nation building. Under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Modi, India is moving towards becoming a Vishvaguru. Odisha is also moving towards development. Odisha has developed double in the last 16 months after the double engine government came to power. In such a situation, for the first time in Nuapada by-election, opposition leader Naveen Patnaik has come down to the campaign ground. And at that time, senior leader of his party Amar Patnaik has joined the BJP. Naveen Babu should campaign there now. And when Amar Babu goes to Nuapada and campaigns, Naveen Babu will be aware of his situation. Because Amar’s experience and leadership will play a major role in strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party. BJP is a party of those who believe that the country is first, the party is second and themselves are last. Chief Minister Majhi has welcomed Amar, who joined the BJP with a sense of sacrifice and dedication.
State President Shri Samal said that Amar Patnaik retired from politics 10 years ago to use his knowledge and experience in social service and work for the betterment of Odisha. Today, he has joined the world’s largest political party, BJP. The BJP government in Odisha has completed 500 days and has become the trust of the people by implementing various welfare schemes. Shri Patnaik is determined to fulfill the dreams of the successful Prime Minister Shri Modi ji and to further accelerate the development work of the popular Chief Minister Shri Majhi. Shri Samal said that the BJP organization has become stronger due to his contribution.
State in-charge Shri Vijaypal Singh Tomar said that he has worked with Amar in the Rajya Sabha. Naveen Patnaik had been running a arbitrariness regime in Odisha for a long time due to some vested interests. At that time, whenever he met Amar, he always said that Modiji needs to be strengthened for the good of the nation. Today, that opportunity has come for Amar. Tomar said that the BJP party will get the benefit of his long experience.
Shri Amar Patnaik said that today is a special moment in his 8-year political career. He had quit his job to serve the people along with the people. In this context, when he got an opportunity in the Rajya Sabha, he tried his best to present the demands of the people of Odisha to the Centre. He raised the problems of the people in the Rajya Sabha. But when he thought about nation building, no other party came to mind except the BJP. Because no other party has any role in nation building.
That is why he joined the BJP, he said. Under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Modiji, India has created its own unique identity on the world map today. Odisha will play a major role in the formation of a new India by 2047. The vision that the popular Chief Minister Shri Majhi has prepared in this regard will definitely make him successful. In this regard, Amar will be deployed by the party to do the work, and he can contribute to the building of the nation and a new Odisha by implementing it effectively. Amar said that he feels honored that the BJP has given him this opportunity and is determined to dedicate himself to nation building.
