Former MLA Bira Sipka passes away

BHAWANIPATNA/BHUBANESWAR: Former MLA from Dharmagarh Assembly segment in Odisha’s tribal dominated Kalahandi district, Bira Sipka was on Tuesday passed away.

He was three times MLA from Dharamgarh. First time from Janata Dal and subsequent two times as BJD candidate. He was a member of 11th, 12th & 13th assembly of Odisha . Born on 1st February 1956 at his native village Golamunda, he was MA LLB & Diploma in Co-operative Audit and Law.

 Before joining politics he was a local fund auditor in Co-operative department.

He was Chief Whip of Janata Dal Orissa Legislature Party and Secretary State Janata Dal.

Founder President of Biju Pattnaik Adibasi High School Nakti Kani Founder President of Budharaja High School Bagdori.

Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Leader of Opposition Pradipta Naik, Senior Congress leader Narasingh Mishra, PCC Chief Niranjan Patnaik, State Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra, former Minister Puspendra Singh, senior Congress leader Bhakta Das and others have condoled the death.
