BHUBANESWAR: In a major setback to ruling BJD in Odisha, the regional outfit’s former Kalahandi MP, Arka Keshari Deo joined BJP on Wednesday. The 44 year old Arka had joined BJD in 2013 after death of his father Bikram Keshari Deo.
Deo along with his wife Malvika Devi joined the Saffron Party here at a function held at Party’s State Headquaters in Bhubaneswar.
Arka Keshari Deo was a BJD MP from Kalahandi Lok Sabha seat and he was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha in 2014 on a BJD ticket.
State Presidenr Manmohan Samal welcomed Deo and Devi, where BJP’s Kalahandi MP Basant Panda and others were among those present.
