BHUBANESWAR/ANGUL: Flanked by Jindal Steel and Power Chairman and former Lok Sabha MP, Naveen Jindal, Foreign Minister of Nigeria Geoffrey Onyeama has paid a visit to JSP’s facilities in Odisha’s Angul and Chhattisgarh’s Raigarh.
“We are privileged to welcome and host the Hon’ble Foreign Minister of Nigeria H.E@GeoffreyOnyeama at our steel plants in Angul and Raigarh. We hope that this will further strengthen the bond of friendship between our great countries,” JSP tweeted.
Since the expansion plan got nod of Odisha Government, the JSP Chairman, has not been missing a single stone unturned to expedite the expansion work. JSP plan to expand the Angul steel plant’s capacity from 6 MTPA to 25.2 MTPA by 2030 ,which will be the largest Plant in the World in a single location as per present capacities.
Presently, JSP is the largest investor in Odisha in the Iron & Steel Sector with an investment of more than ₹45,000 crore.The Company has set up a 6 MTPA steel plant at Angul, the largest in Odisha and a 9 MTPA pellet plant at Barbil, the biggest in India.In the next ten years, the Company would increase its investment in the State to more than ₹1,00,000 crore.
