NUAPADA:During the election campaign of the state Deputy Chief Minister Kanakbardhan Singh Deo in Nuapada, Nuagaon Panchayat Sarpanch and Samiti member Yashaswi has left BJD and joined BJP, expressing faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and popular Chief Minister Mohan Majhi.
Sarpanch of Nuagaon Gram Panchayat under Komna block of Nuapada constituency, Mrs. Jayanti Mala Pradhan and Samiti member Shri Dolamani Shabar have joined BJP.
In the presence of Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo, these two people representatives along with hundreds of their supporters have joined BJP and have been attracted to the double engine government. Expressing hope that the BJP government can develop their panchayat, they have said that they will support BJP MLA candidate Jay Dholakia in this by-election. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Singh Deo said that the joining of Nuapada Panchayat Sarpanch and Samiti member has strengthened our party.
MP Sukant Panigrahi, MLA Durga Prasanna Nayak and senior leader Jagannath Pradhan were present at the event.
