BHUBANESWAR: Expose Odisha , a little known youtube channel, reportedly owned by one Prasant Mishra, has been under scanner after Unit-2 ‘s Himanshu Bhusan Kar filed an FIR against the said organisation and its owner Prasant Mishra at Capital Police Station here for showing a scrolling defamatory news items on 4 persons including Kar.
In his FIR, Himanshu Bhusan Kar, a well-known social activist and media organiser, mentioned that, accused Mishra, having vested interest, posting such news clips in social media like Facebook bearing the caption of “ Daggi Media”. Besides, the photograph of Kar, it also figured the photograph of News 7 TV and Premaya owner Prof Manoj Ranjan Mishra and Odisha Bhaskar’s Madhu Mohanty.
“Without any verification and with acute ulterior motive, Prasant Mishra, on 23-10-2021 published and circulated one web card containing defamatory subject in the facebook page of Expose Odisha under the banner of ‘Daggi Media’,” Kar said in his FIR adding, with photographs of 4 persons including him and same card was contained that the program regarding Daggi Media will be telecast shortly in its youtube channel. Kar further alleged that Mishra had abused earlier by using slang launguge. Showing a whatsup chart in which, accused Mishra, was seen charting and demanding money from Kar. Prasant Mishra was earlier forwarded to Court in Koenjhar for his nefarious activities, Kar alleged in his FIR. “The act of Prasant Mishra had defamed and degraded the social status of mine by using the social media platform and flouting the provisions of IT act,” the FIR said. Kar demanded immediate action against Prasant Mishra and on its little know organisation for blackmailing and harassing common public for ill motive.
