RAJKANIKA/AUL: Amid reports of irregularities in PDS and cooked food supply, ruling BJD’s 4th times MLA from Aul Assembly seat in Kendrapara, Pratap Keshari Deb was on Sunday visited several Panchayats and took stock of the relief and restoration work in view of the outbreak of COVID-19 under his Assembly seat.
Sources said, Deb paid a surprise visit to Katanabania Panchayat under Rajkanika and heard the grievances of local people. The Deb, who is also a former Minister, asked officials to strictly follow the COVID-19 guidelines and warned stern action if irregularities were found in PDS and cooked food distribution during lockdown period.
Deb also talked with officials and urged them to expedite the distribution of PDS and other financial packages for the beneficiaries. Sources said, MLA Deb has been camping at his Aul Palace since past 3 weeks and closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and its subsequent events in his Assembly segment.
Sources also said that the ruling BJD MLA Deb has been in constant touch with officials of both Aul-Rajkanika blocks. It may be noted here that earlier, Deb along with former Congress MLA Deba Sharma had met Kendrapara Collector Samartha Verma over the issue of foreign returners of twin blocks in view of the outbreak of COVID-19, in which, Odisha reported 21 Positive cases so far.
