NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan alias Muku along with his wife and former ABVP leader, Mridula Thakur Pradhan were on Sunday held a video conference with various Odia Societies and communities spreading across many leading cities including New Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Ahmadabad and from Abroad also aprticiated in the video conference.
The Union Minister Pradhan and his wife talked to around 300 representatives of different Odia communities both settled and residing in and outside India and offered all help from Central Government.
Both Union Minister Pradhan and his wife Mridula personally enquired about their stay and availability of food materials. The powerful Pradhan Couple has also assured all help to each Odia staying in National Capital, other major cities and abroad and both have requested Odia communities to inform them about any problems, they are facing during the lockdown period in view of the COVID-19 outbreak.
The Union Minister also assured them safe return to Odisha. “Not a single Odia person will face any sort of problem in New Delhi and somewhere in the Country or outside and I am personally talking everyday to many State Governments for safety of Odia brothers and sisters,” Union Minister Pradhan assured the Odia communities.
“On the auspicious occasion of #AkshayTritiya, interacted with my Odia brothers and sisters from India and abroad through video conferencing. We discussed life changing experiences from the evolving situation of #Covid19 and how with collective efforts we can overcome this enemy,” Union Minister Pradhan twitted.
“Both Odisha and Odia’s have led from the front in the fight against #Covid19. Wether it is following guidelines or lending a helping hand to the needy, the grit and determination of each one of us has been instrumental in stepping-up the fight against the health crisis.Our govt. under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi ji is working to defeat the pandemic as well as mitigate the challenges arising out of it. Our Odia Samaj should continue their good work and take lead in helping not just fellow Odia’s but everyone who is in need of help,” Pradhan said.
“With the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath and our collective resolve, we will prevail through these difficult times. Let us continue to support and motivate each other, maintain #SocialDistancing, follow the guidelines of the govt. and stay safe at our home,” he added.
