CHAIBASA/CHAMPUA: Around 20 large-scale manufacturing Industrial units in Jharkhand will start operating from April 20 after Lockdown phase 2, as the State Industry department has written letters to their MDs and CEOs. The Central government had given instructions to give relaxations during Lockdown to industrial units to begin their functioning.
Rajendra Prasad, Deputy Director, Industries Department, Jharkhand vide his letter to these units has told that all industrial units located outside the municipal boundaries have been instructed to open their manufacturing units following the Standard operating procedure provided by the Centre.
“Few of the major industrial units which include TATA Steel, Tata Motors, Adani Powers, Jindal Steel, Rungta Mines, Hindalco, Usha Martin and major steel manufacturing sector industries of the state Along with Small scale Manufacturing units dealing with production of essential supply items have been given directives to start functioning in the rural areas of the state under desired conditions and SOPs.
These unit-heads have also been advised to provide thermal scanners, masks, sanitizers and maintain Social distance during the working shifts. Chief secretary Sukhdev Singh had instructed the large scale manufacturing units of the state to work in coordination with the guidelines and SOPs of the centre while re-opening these industrial units post Lockdown.
