NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Union Minister of Petroleum ,Natural Gas and Steel Dharmendra Pradhan has donated his one month’s salary to Prime Minister National Relief Fund for relief work following outbreak of COVID-19.
In a Tweet on Sunday, Pradhan said “In these difficult times, let us stand for those who need us the most. In view of #Covid-19 pandemic, I have donated my one month’s salary and released Rs 1 Crore from my MPLADS fund to PM National Relief Fund to help bring a smile to the underprivileged.”
Meanwhile, BJP Lok Sabha MP from Bhubaneswar, Aparajta Sarangi has released Rs 1 crore for Khorda to fight COVID-19 from her MPLADs to PMRF.
Earlier, in the day, the BJP Rajya Sabha MP from Odisha and former IAS officer , Ashwini Vaishnaw donated Rs 2.5 crore from his MPLADs to PMRF to fight the outbreak of COVID-19.
Earlier, BJP MPs in Lok Sabha, Jual Oram of Sundargarh, Suresh Pujari of Bargarh and Nitesh Ganga Deb of Sambalpur had donated to PMRF from their MPLADs.
“In Order to assist the Central & the State Government & my District Administration in my Sambalpur Parliamentary constituency, I am giving all of my MP Lad of Rupees 2.50 Crores for Covid-19 Relief to fight the deadly virus,” BJP Sambalpur MP Nitesh Ganga Deb had twitted on Saturday adding out of the amount, Sambalpur district got Rs 1.25 crores followed by Deogarh Rs 75 Lakhs and Angul (Athmalik & Chendipada) Rs 50 Lakhs.
To combat COVID-19 pandemic in the Country under the leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP’s Bargarh MP in Odisha had on Saturday released Rs.1,00,00,000/-(Rupees One Crore only) from his MPLADS Funds in favour of Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for the measures taken for prevention of Covid-19.
