BHUBANESWAR: FICCI National VP and IMFA Group MD, Subharkant Panda has all his praise for Railways Piontsman Mayur Shelke, for saving lives of a small kid from a railway track in Mumbai. The Odia Industrialist Subhrakant Panda, who happens to be the younger brother of BJP National VP, Baijayant ‘ Jay’Panda, lauded Pointsman Shelke for risking his life to save a child and then donating the reward in perspective.
“To put #MayurShelke’s selflessness (twice over – first in risking his life to save a child & then donating the reward) in perspective, you don’t need to look beyond the eye gouging prices being quoted for oxygen concentrators. Earlier, Jindal Steel and Power Limited Chairman and former MP, Naveen Jindal had joined Union Railways, Industry, Commerce and PDS Minister Piyush Goyal to laud the heroic act by Railway piontsman Mayur Shelke of Vangani station of Mumbai.
“Very proud of Mayur Shelke, Railwayman from the Vangani Railway Station in Mumbai who has done an exceptionally courageous act, risked his own life & saved a child’s life,” Railway Minister Piyush Goyal had tweeted @PiyushGoyal .
“A heroic act. Salute to Mr Shelke for his courage,” JSPL Chairman Naveen Jindal had tweeted @MPNaveenJindal.
“IRTS Association salutes pointsman Mr. Mayur Shelke of Vangani station of Mumbai division for showing selfless courage in saving the life of a young child in face of an approaching train.#RailwaySafety,” IRTS Association tweeted @IRTSassociation.
Chief Operations Manager, Central Railway had also felicitated Shelke. Asian Institute of Transport Development has announced an award of Rs.50,000 to Mayur Shelke.
