BHUBANESWAR: After BJP National VP Baijayant Panda ‘Jay’ got elevated and given In Charge of Delhi and Assam, the Saffron Party leader’s younger brother , Subharakant Panda, MD, IMFA Group, set up by their late visionary industrialist father , Bansidhar Panda, became the first Odia National VP of Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI).
The reconstituted National Executive Committee of FICCI met at Delhi on Monday Uday Shankar taking over as President from Dr Sangita Reddy while Sanjiv Mehta was elected as Senior Vice President .

FICCI, established in 1927, is the largest & apex business organization in India , and Mr Panda is the first Odia industrialist to hold a national leadership position . He was the first Chairman of FICCI ‘s Odisha Chapter and has held other important positions such as Chairman of the FICCI National Manufacturing Committee . He is also a past President of Paris – based International Chromium Development Association (ICDA ) and International Chamber of Commerce (India Chapter ) .
