DHAMRA/BHADRAK: The Farmer’s Field School (FFS) training on Rabi paddy crop was organized at Govt. Upper Primary School, Balisahi of Dhamra port periphery GP (Dosinga) by Adani Foundation, the CSR arms of Adani Group of Goutam Adani . There are forty four (44) farmers (Male 40 & Female 4) were actively participated in FFS training from 9 villages of Dosinga and Jagula GPs.
Dr. Debi Prasad Dash, Soil Science Scientist from Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bhadrak has participated as thematic expert. Dr. Dash covered the topic on soil sample collection methods, soil testing parameters, use and preparation of organic inputs (Vermi composting & azolla) for application and importance in Rabi paddy crop.
There are 12 soil samples has been collected from the farmers for soil testing at KVK based on NPK, organic carbon & micro nutrients parameters . The farmers were visited the front line demonstrated activities and Dr. Dash explained the detail process and preparation of organic inputs. The training session was ended with participatory and interaction approach.
