BHUBANESWAR/CUTTACK: Odisha Factories and Boilers Directorate Deputy Director Ramesh Behera under Vigilance Scanner. The corrupted officer spending hardship after the Vigilance sleuths on Thursday raided his residence on charges of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known source of income.Vigilance officials conducted raids at 6 places including his office and residences at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Jajpur and Puducherry. Behera made several foreign trips with bribe and corruption money, Vigilance sources claimed.
On the allegation of possession of disproportionate assets by Behera simultaneous house searches are being conducted by the officers of Vigilance Bhubaneswar Division on the strength of search warrant issued by Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar on the following places:-Residential house of SO located at Vipul Garden, Ghatikia, Bhubaneswar, house of relative at Piligrim road Cuttack, house at native place of SO at Pampalo, Korei, Jajpur, One plot at CDA with room, Office room located at Bhubaneswar and Cuttack and House located at Pondicherry.
During the raid, the officials examined bank passbooks, land records and other important documents.The exact amount of disproportionate assets possessed by the accused officer will be ascertained after completion of the search drives, sources in the Vigilance informed
