Face of Rural Odisha changed impressively for PM Modi’s Special Attention, says Dharmendra Pradhan

NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: While continuing his social media posts highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Government’s achievements and contributions to Odisha along with rest of the Country, Union PNG-Steel Minister and PM’s one of the most trusted lieutenant, Dharmendra Pradhan was on Tuesday claimed that  Face of Odisha changed impressively for PM Modi’s special attention.

“The rural face of Odisha has witnessed massive transformation with affordable housing becoming a reality, especially for the vulnerable sections of the state.More than 26 lakh houses have been constructed in Odisha under the PM Awas Yojana. Since 2017, over 24 lakh households have been electrified under #Saubhagya resulting in 100% electricity coverage in the state as well as comfort and convenience,” Pradhan wrote in Facebook post.  “A pucca house under #PMAY not only fulfils the dream of owning a house, it also brings all-round government benefits—a gas cylinder under #PMUY, electricity, drinking water supply, toilet, etc. and ensures convergence of welfare initiatives to the last mile,” he said.

Highlighting the major contribution of his Ministers of PNG-Steel to Odisha, Pradhan wrote “  Over 5.22 crores LED bulbs have been distributed in Odisha, resulting in annual energy saving of 6.78 billion kWh. EESL – Energy Efficiency Services Limited has distributed over 1.70 lakh LED tube lights & 37,770 energy efficient fans under #UJALA in Odisha, lighting up the lives of millions across the state,”.

“More than 77.14 lakhs households in Odisha have been provisioned with toilets under #SwachhBharat. It is a matter of great happiness that all the 114 urban local bodies in Odisha have been declared open defecation free (ODF) under the Swachh Bharat Mission.mproving quality of life, especially for poor and disadvantaged is a priority of #ModiGovt. ₹342.82 crores of central assistance has been sanctioned to Odisha in FY 2019-20 for strengthening civic amenities and reviving urban spaces under AMRUT.Odisha was also a beneficiary of an advance release of ₹271.75 crores as 1st instalment for non-million plus cities in FY 2019-20. Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs also sanctioned ₹203.93 crores to Odisha in FY 2019-20 under the Smart Cities Mission,” Pradhan wrote.

“Bhubaneswar and Rourkela have been included in the list of 100 cities pan-India to be developed as smart cities. Paradip being developed as a smart port city under #Sagarmala is yet another testimony of #ModiGovt’s resolve to create a futuristic and developed Odisha,” he said.

“We are committed to the goal of housing for all guided by the vision of our PM Narendra Modi ji ~ “A house is not merely about four walls, it is a centre of happiness and dignity for people. Union Government is making rapid strides towards transforming the rural and urban landscape of the country by mitigating homelessness,” Pradhan added.
