BHUBANESWAR//BERHAMPUR: Call it massive corruption hits Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s home turf of Ganjam. Approximately Rs 16.7 lakh cash recovered from under the mattress during search at Berhampur. The Vigilance teams had to break open the doors as Sri Sethy at Berhampur and his son at Bhubaneswar, locked themselves inside the houses. Legal action will be taken for obstruction in lawful duties.
On Wednesday, on the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets by Sri Jagannath Sethy, Executive Engineer, Rural Works (Electrical) Division, Berhampur simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 01 Addl. S.P., 04 DsSP and 10 Inspectors and other staff on the strength of Search Warrants issued by Hon’ble Special Judge Vigilance, Berhampur at 5 places in Khordha and Ganjam district.
As Sri Sethy at Berhampur and his son at Bhubaneswar locked themselves inside the houses, obstructed the Vigilance team and showed non co-operation even after being told about the search warrants, the Vigilance team was forced to enter inside the premises after breaking open the entrance doors. In this connection appropriate legal action will be taken against them for obstruction in lawful discharge of duties.
1. Residential Four storeyed building located at Gajapati Nagar, 8th Lane, Berhampur.
2. Five storeyed building located at Gajapati Nagar, 11th lane Extension, Berhampur.
3. Four storeyed building at AIIMS Nagar 3rd lane, Bhubaneswar.
4. Office of Sri Sethy at Ambapua, Berhampur.
5. House at his native village Puttabagada, PS: Chhatrapur, Dist: Ganjam.
