NUAPADA:Former Rajya Sabha member from Odisha A V Swamy breathed his last at his residence at Khariar road on Tuesday. He was 91.
According to sources, Swamy was suffering from old age-related ailment. However, he died today at his residence. He is survived by three daughters and two sons.
Alajangi Viswanath Swamy was born on July 18, 1929 in Nabarangpur district. He was elected to the Rajya Sabha, the Upper house of Indian Parliament, from Odisha as an Independent candidate in 2012.
