CUTTACK/BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Cricket Association on Sunday officially announced that Eminent Industrialist, MGM Minerals Ltd Group Chairman Pankaj Lochan Mohanty has been elected as Association President unopposed.
OCA Sitting Vice President and former President Mr Mohanty, was elected uncontested as he was the lone candidate to file his nomination for the president post in OCA. He was elected as the vice-president of the apex council of OCA on October 28, 2022.
Earlier, he had served as the president of OCA from 2019 to 2022. BJD leader Pranab Prakash Das, popularly known as Bobby Das, was elected the president of OCA in 2022. He resigned from the post in December 2024 and since president post was lying vacant.
With Mr Mohanty’s election as President, OCA will look for a new Vice President, which may be declared during the annual general body meeting at Cuttack.
