BHUBANSWAR: Eminent Educationist and former Political Science Prof, BC Rout, has passed away at the age of 84 at his Lwis Road Residence in the State Capital late on Wednesday night.
Boring in 1937 at Haladiapada Madhyasasana of Jagatsinghpur district, Rout, started his teaching career in early 70s and wrote several books on Political Science during his 60 years long academic career.
Prof Rout is survived by wife, sons and daughter including senior OAS officer and Additional Secretary , Satyabratha Rout , daughter Sasmita Rout , who is also an Additional Secretary with Odisha Government, younger son Engineer Debabrata Rout . Prof late Rout’s son in law Debasis Singh, is also serving in Additional Secretary rank.
Hearing his sad demise, many eminent persons paid rich tribute at his residence.
