BHUBANESWAR: The 2010 batch IPS officer and IGP (CM Security), Ashish Singh on Thursday undergoes medical test at AIIMS-Bhubabeswar following a directive from election Commission of India.
Singh after shifted from as IGP Cengtral range Cuttack and posted as IGP(CM Security) , took medical leave on May 4 raising many eyebrows.
To which, BJP had objected saying, the IPS officer Singh is working for BJD and threatening officers engaged in election duty.
ECI had directed a detailed medical examination of Singh by a special medical board constituted by Director AIIMS, Bhubaneswar, and the report on this shall reach the Commission latest by May 31.
Earlier, a special medical board had been formed by AIIMS Bhubaneswar for the health checkup of 2010-batch IPS officer Singh.
The six-member committee led by (Prof.) Ashutosh Biswas, Executive Director, AIIMS Bhubaneswar and board consisting of specialist doctors from various departments were assigned to checked the health of Singh.
