ECI directs suspended IPS Officer DS Kuttey to report at Odisha Resident Commissioner’s Office in New Delhi by 3pm on May 29 , CEO to submit Charge -Sheet against the Odisha CM’s Ex Special Secretary

Special Secretary DS Kuttey be placed under suspension under relevant service rules for unduly interfering in conduct of elections. His Headquarters’ is fixed at the office of Resident Commissioner of Odisha, New Delhi, where he shall report by 3 pm on May 29. The CEO Odisha shall provide to the Chief Secretary of Odisha, draft of charge sheet to be issued to DS Kuttey, shall arrange to issue charge sheet by competent authority under relevant service rules , not later than by 5 pm of May 30, ECI said.

BHUBANESWAR: The 1997 batch IPS Officer  DS Kuttey , who was suspended by ECI, on Tuesday, has been asked to report at Odisha Resident Commissioner’s Office by 3pm on May 29, the day , the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay a visit to the State.

‘Special Secretary DS Kuttey be placed under suspension under relevant service rules for unduly interfering in conduct of elections. His Headquarters’ is fixed at the office of Resident Commissioner of Odisha, New Delhi, where he shall report by 3 pm on May 29. The CEO Odisha shall provide to the Chief Secretary of Odisha, draft of charge sheet to be issued to DS Kuttey, shall arrange to issue charge sheet by competent authority under relevant service rules , not later than by 5 pm of May 30, ECI said.

‘I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to state that the CEO Odisha in his communication dated 27-05-2024, has made certain averments indicating undue influence being exercised by DS Kuttey , Special Secretary, CMO Odisha, and Ashish Kumar Singh , IG CM Security, on officers directly connected with conduct of election work. This was further corroborated by various other inputs received from the fieild from time to time, ECI  wrote to Odisha CEO.
