BHUBANESWAR: The Election of India has directed Odisha CEO NB Dhal to forward a copy of the Special Medical Board reports of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, which found nothing critical in the health condition of 2010 batch IPS Officer and IGP (CM Security), Ashish Kumar Singh to Chief Secretary for necessary action.
‘After perusing the report of Special Medical Board of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar, declaring IPS Officer Ashish Singh physically and mentally fit , the Commission prime facie found it a case of misrepresentation of facts of on the part of IPS Singh. It is directed that the report of special medical board be forwarded to State Chief Secretary for appropriate necessary action against the officer as deemed fit,’ ECI said in a missive Odisha CEO.
The suspension of IPS officer DS Kutey, be revoked immediate effect with condition that other directions given vide ECI letter dated 28-05-2024 will continue as per the rules applicable. Departmental proceedings if instituted, can only be decided with concurrence of the Commission. Kutey may report to Chief Secretary fo further posting as deemed fit.
