Eastern Range DIG Dr Satyajit Naik takes stock of the Situation in Bhadrak , visited Cyclone Shelters

BALASORE/BHADRAK: DIG, Eastern Range, Dr Satyajit Naik visited cyclone relief centers in Bhadrak, reporting satisfactory conditions at Redcross Shelter, Sunamuhin, K C High School, Chudamani, and others. Relief efforts are in full swing, with teams working tirelessly.

The Odisha government has taken proactive measures to prepare for the cyclone, including deploying NDRF, ODRAF, and Fire Services teams to assist in evacuation and rescue efforts. The government aims to achieve zero casualties and has instructed multiple departments to be on high alert

Key Preparedness Measures:

⁠Police presence at cyclone shelters during food distribution.

⁠Patrols in affected areas to prevent theft.

⁠Law and order maintenance during relief distribution.

⁠Backup power generators and communication networks.

Deployment of NDRF, ODRAF, Fire Services, and police personnel.

District-Wise Deployment:

Balasore: 7 OSAP platoons, 6 APR platoons, 100 Home Guards, 3 NDRF teams, 8 ODRAF teams.

⁠Bhadrak: 5 APR platoons, 10 OSAP platoons, 2 ODRAF teams, 2 NDRF teams, 6 fire teams.

⁠Mayurbhanj: 2 ODRAF teams, 1 NDRF team, 5 JCBs Control Room:24/7 established for real time monitoring and assistance.

Strategic force deployment, satellite phones, public awareness campaigns, and evacuation efforts are underway.
