DUBAI/BHUBANESWAR: Odisha’s Youngest Scuba Diver Dubai-based 10 year old girl Tisya Panigrahi dives 40 feet deep in the Gulf of Oman, Arabian Sea off the eastern coast of United Arab Emirates. Tisya happens to be the grand daughter of former Minister and Member of Parliament from Odisha Late Sriballav Panigrahi and Educationist Late Smt. Sunanda Panigrahi. Tisya is also the grand daughter of former MLA of Sambalpur, Dr. Raseswari Panigrahi
Tisya Panigrahi, Dubai-based 10 year old Odia Girl is Odisha’s Youngest Scuba Diver.Tisya is the daughter of Priyadarshee Panigrahi who is from Sambalpur and is himself a Trained Scuba Diver. Tisya’s mother is Soumitri Nanda, who is from Cuttack.
She became Odisha’s Youngest Scuba Diver on 22nd August, 2020 when she successfully qualified for the Junior Open Water Scuba Diver License. This license is given by PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors).
PADI is the world’s largest scuba diving training and certification organization. It was founded in 1966 in Illinois, United States of America. After getting her license, Tisya started exploring the depths of the seas on the 9th of October when she dived about 40 feet deep into the Gulf of Oman, in the Arabian Sea, on the east coast of United Arab Emirates. She dived along with her father – Mr. Priyadarshee Panigrahi.
She dived at two dive sites:Martini Rock – where she went down to 40 feet depth and Hole in the Wall – Where she went down to around 37 feet depth. Tisya continues to be amazed by the beautiful life found under the water. Colourful fishes and corals were all around her and that is what keeps delighting her.
