NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: With Puri BJP MLA Jayant Sarangi continuing his agitation in pilgrimage city, Party’s National spokesperson Dr Sambit Patra was on Friday met Union Culture and Tourism Minister, Prahlad Singh Patel, over alleged illegal plotting and sale of Bagala Dharmashala land in Puri.
Patra told reporters that the Centre has allocated Rs 20 crore for renovation and restoration of Bagala Dharmashala under PRASAD Scheme, but the state government has gobbled up the money. Patra has handed over a memorandum to the Union Minister during his discussion on the land issue. Patel assured Patra that he will give his views on the issue by Monday.
The BJP spokesperson informed the Union Culture Minister that the matter is sub-judice and the state government has sold the land. He said the matter will be brought to the notice of Prime Minister soon.
