NEW DELHI/BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday joined his Cabinet Colleague , Union Science, Technology, Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr Harsh Vardhan to address at the 32nd Foundation Day celebrations of the Institute of Life Sciences, Bhubaneswar in Odisha.

Institute of Life Sciences has been a pioneer of high-quality, multi-disciplinary research for the overall development and betterment of human health, agriculture and environment. I compliment the scientists and students of ILS for their contribution to humanity.Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and Dr. Harsh Vardhan ji, India handled the Covid19 situation well,” Pradhan said.
Complimented ILS for playing a crucial role in the fight against the pandemic, especially in promoting research in indigenous vaccine development & diagnostics. It gives me immense pleasure to see that ILS is not only contributing in strengthening #MakeInIndia but also working towards the development and creation of scientific expertise in the North-east as well as in the aspirational district of Nabrangpur in Odisha, Pradhan said.
“Odisha’s coastline has been in focus for Hon. PM Narendra Modi’s vision of a blue economy. A CoE on Marine Biotechnology at ILS, for which I have also requested Dr. Harsh Vardhan ji, will help unlock the true potential of a marine-led sustainable economic growth in Odisha.
