BHUBANESWAR: The founder of KIIT, KISS, KIMS Dr Achyuta Samanta offered cash reward for Odia Athletes in the 22nd Asian Athletics Championships commencing at Kalinga Stadium in eastern Indian city of Bhubaneswar on July 5.
Odia athletes winning gold, silver and bronze medals would be given cash incentive of Rs 3 lakh, Rs 2 lakh and 1.5 lakh, respectively, said KIIT & KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta on Friday.
“This financial incentive for the successful athletes is part of the continuous endeavour of KIIT & KISS to encourage sportspersons and promote sports in Odisha,” Dr Samanta said while congratulating all five Odia athletes and wishing them success.
