BHUBANESWAR: Dr AK Bisoi, Prof of Cardiac Surgery at AIIMS-New Delhi has been nominated as the new President of AIIMS BHUBANESWAR in place of Dr Subrat Acharya.
‘In the exercise of power conferred by clause (e) of section 4 of the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences Act of 1956(25 of 1956) as amended by AIIMS Amendment act of 2012 (37 of 2012), the Central Government here by nominates Dr AK Bisoi to the member of Institute Body of AIIMS- Bhubaneswar in place of Dr SK Acharya, ED, Fortis Hospital,’ the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said.
‘In the exercise of power conferred by section 7(1) of the All Indian Institute of Medical Sciences Act of 1956(25 of 1956) as amended by AIIMS Amendment act of 2012 (37 of 2012), the Central Government here by nominates Dr AK Bisoi as President of AIIMS-Bhubaneswar,’ it added.
Dr Bisoi is an accomplished surgeon, with 3 decades of professional excellence and innovation to show. Dr Bisoi has performed over 32,000 procedures , has created and made operational various effective and sustainable models for healthcare. Dr Bisoi has received several awards , including the prestigious Dr BC Roy National Award given to eminent Teachers.
