BHUBANESWAR:The Indian Meteorological Department has informed that the low pressure area ‘Montha’ formed in the Bay of Bengal will intensify into a severe cyclonic storm and make landfall on the 28th midnight. It is expected that there will be very heavy rain along with wind during this time.

Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada, Ganjam, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Kalahandi and Nabarangpur and other districts of the state will be particularly affected by the impact of the cyclone. At this time, State President Shri Manmohan Samal has advised the people of Odisha to face the cyclonic situation with patience without panic.

On the instructions of National President Shri J.P. Nadda, State President Shri Samal has called upon BJP workers to join rescue and relief work with full service and dedication in the cyclone-affected areas. The Odisha government has taken various steps to successfully deal with the possible cyclone situation.
While the state government has set a target of zero casualty during the cyclone, the workers have been called upon to fully cooperate with the administration and the government in service, assistance and relief work. State President Shri Samal said that the workers will cooperate with the administration and the government in the work of shifting people and livestock to safer places before the cyclone, distributing dry and cooked food, and providing proper medical facilities to the elderly, pregnant women and the sick.
