KORAPUT: The first Divisional Railway Manager, for Rayagada division Amitabh Singhal inspected the Rayagada- Koraput section. Singhal reviewed ongoing developmental activities in the said section.
Graduated as an electrical & electronics engineering from NIT Trichy. Singhal is from 1995 batch of Indian Railways. His 1st posting was Assistant Divisional Electrical Engineer in Electric loco shed Kalyan in July 1999. Singhal played crucial role in design , manufacturing, commissioning and testing of first prototype of Vande Bharat Express (Train 18).
Being the maiden visit to the Division after assuming charge on 10.01.25, DRM inspected the proposed Rayagada Division Building site. Members of Chamber of commerce & industry and Station Consultative Committee met DRM and greeted him with best wishes for his new assignment.
Speaking with media during the Rayagada Inspection, DRM said that, emphasis will be given to Safety, passenger amenities and Punctually along with expediting of Infrastructure related works.
He also conducted a window trailing inspection from Rayagada to Koraput, overseeing the safety aspects viz. points and crossing, signalling system, tunnels, ongoing infrastructure development activities and assessing the progress of amenities in the section.
