BARBIL/BHUBANESWAR: The safety standards of Rungta Mines Limited at Barbil in Keonjhar was reviewed by the Director of Factories and Boilers. Officials from DD F&B Jajpur and AD F&B Keonjhar held discussion with Rungta Mines Limited officials and reviewed the safety measures taken up by the company at its plant and as well as mines sites in Keonjhar-Sundargarh mineral belt.

The state government had recently approved project worth Rs 11,000 Crore of Rungta Mines Limited in Dhenkanal. While the project currently produces 3 million tonnes of steel, it will now produce 4.55 million tonnes of steel. RML’s project would be a milestone in the development of Dhenkanal district.
Expansion of Rungta Mines Limited’s Steel Plant capacity from 0.53 million tons per annum to 3 million tons per annum against an investment of Rs. 7,920 crore to be set up in Karakhendra, Keonjhar, which will generate potential employment opportunities for over 5,134 persons.
