Dilip Ray recalls Fondly Memories with Veteran Jaswant Singh

BHUBANESWAR: Former Union Minister and Hotel Mayfair Group Chairman, Dilip Ray on Sunday paid an emotional tribute to his former Union Cabinet colleague Jaswant Singh, who passed away.  

“Deeply pained to learn about the passing away of senior leader and Former Union minister #JaswantSingh Ji. A True Gentleman, having been his neighbour in Delhi and a fellow colleague in Vajpayee Ji’s Ministry, I have many fond memories of him and must say that he was amongst those very few leaders who commanded respect and admiration cutting across party lines,” Ray said.

“Jaswant Ji held key portfolios like Defence, External Affairs and Finance in different ministries from 1996-2004  and today in his passing away, the Country has lost a great leader and an able administrator. He shall always be remembered for his substantial contribution to the Indian Polity. I convey my  profound condolences to his friends, family and followers in this hour of grief. May the noble soul Rest in Peace!!!,” Ray said.

Jaswant Singh was born on 3 January 1938 and died on 27 September 2020.Jaswant Singh Jasol is a retired officer of the Indian Army and a former cabinet minister. He is a founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He is one of India’s longest serving parliamentarians, having been a member of one or the other house almost continuously between 1980 and 2014.
