BARIPADA/BHUBANESWAR: DIG,ER Dr Satyajit Naik Conducted a meeting with nationalised, private and cooperative banks in Baripada,Mayurbhanj District to enhance security protocols, focusing on cloud DVR surveillance, centralised data management, trained guards, advanced alarms and regular audits.
In a daring daylight heist, unidentified assailants allegedly looted approximately Rs 9 lakh from the Kuchei branch of Odisha Gramya Bank in Mayurbhanj district on Tuesday afternoon.
According to reports, six armed assailants barged into the bank at around 2 pm. Brandishing firearms, the assailants held the bank staff at gunpoint and looted cash from the counters before fleeing the scene.
