BHUBANESWAR: The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken a significant step towards enhancing legal protections for women in the digital realm. The NCW hosted its Final Review Consultation on Cyber Laws for Women at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, which was attended by esteemed guests, including Hon’ble Minister Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal and NCW Chairperson Smt. Vijaya Rahatkar.
The consultation aimed to review and finalize proposals for amendments to existing cyber laws, ensuring they are more inclusive and effective in addressing issues faced by women in cyberspace. This effort is crucial in today’s digital age, where women’s safety and empowerment online are of utmost concern.
Notably, Dr. Satyajit Naik, DIG, Eastern Range, Balasore, was invited as a special invitee to participate in this National level discussion, focusing on reviewing legal and constitutional safeguards for women’s empowerment. The event brought together experts and stakeholders to share their insights and recommendations for strengthening cyber laws.
