BHUBANESWAR: Union PNG-Steel Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has thanked the PM Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for releasing Rs 186.58 crore for Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of Odisha.
The amount has been sanctioned as the first instalment of the basic grant for the ULBs for the year 2019-20.This is as per the recommendations of the 14th Finance Commission.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had in December last written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi urging him to release the basic grants for the ULBs.
