Dharmendra Pradhan Visits Talcher’s Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Medical College and Hospital in Angul

ANGUL: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today visited the hospital after the ‘National Medical Commission’ approved the admission of 100 MBBS seats to the Purat Mohan Government Medical College in Talcher, Angul district, from the current academic year.

Responding to the media in this regard, Shri Pradhan said that the long wait of Angul district has come to an end. After Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, the dream of a medical college in the district has been fulfilled. Recently, on the application of the state government, the National Medical Commission has given its approval to start the registration process for 100 MBBS seats in this medical college from the academic year 2025-26, which is a matter of happiness.

MCL, a public sector enterprise of the Government of India, has spent more than Rs 1600 crore for the Talcher Pratham Mohan Medical College. The old Talcher Nehru Centenary Hospital has been renamed after Pratham Mohan Pradhan and this medical college has been developed. This is a great achievement of the double engine government for the district and the state. The people of Talcher, Angul and surrounding districts will be particularly benefited by the functioning of this hospital. Shri Pradhan thanked Prime Minister Modi and the Chief Minister for this decision.

During this visit, the local people welcomed and thanked Shri Pradhan for his efforts in fulfilling the dream of Talcher Medical College.
