Dharmendra Pradhan Undertakes Service Activities Under ‘Seva Pakhwada’ in Sambalpur on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Birthday

SAMBALPUR: On the occasion of the 75th birthday of the country’s popular Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan on Wednesday celebrated ‘Seva Palka’ in his parliamentary constituency Sambalpur and appealed to the public to join the event.

Shri Pradhan today planted saplings under the ‘Seva Palkha’ programme at the Sambalpur Soldier School premises along with the students, teachers, citizens and members of voluntary organisations. Later, he inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by the BJP Yuva Morcha. The Union Minister joined the ‘Sustha Nari, Sashakta Galya’ campaign at the Sambalpur Deleipali Community Health Centre and distributed Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana cards to the beneficiaries and Pushti Kits to TB patients. He participated in the healthcare camp and blood donation camp organised there on the occasion. He said that such programmes will bring about positive changes in the society and motivate people to serve.

Shri Pradhan said, “Ek Pede Maa Ke Naam” is an emotional idea of ​​the Prime Minister. The main objective of this campaign is to protect the environment through tree plantation and create awareness among the general public for planting trees. This is not just a tree, but a proof of our love, devotion and affection for our mother. It is a symbol of our respect and closeness to Mother Earth. On the Prime Minister’s birthday, the target of planting 75 lakh saplings in Odisha under the Ek Pede Maa Ke Naam 2.0 campaign, only 4.5 lakh trees will be planted in Sambalpur district. Everyone planted trees today to afforest the Soldier School in Sambalpur. He thanked the volunteers, Forest Department, Educational Department and Administrative Department who collaborated in this work.

He further said, Service is paramount. The ‘Healthy Women, Strong Families’ campaign is very important to provide better healthcare to every section of the society. Similarly, he thanked all the young volunteers who are donating blood to save lives. He said, Blood donation is a great virtue. Thank you to all the volunteers who have joined this great cause.
