SAMBALPUR: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday laid the foundation stone of the ‘New Community Health Center’ and inaugurated the ‘Group Public Health Center’ at Delaipali, Sambalpur.
On this occasion, Shri Pradhan said that health is the wealth of human life and the right of every individual. The dedicated ‘Group Public Health Centre’ has other medical facilities including dental treatment. These centres are aimed at providing advanced and expert health services to the people. The new health centre, which has been dedicated and the foundation stone laid, will cater to the healthcare needs of the local area.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently announced the transformation of Veer Surendra Sai Ayurvedic Science and Research Institute, Burla, Sambalpur in Jharsuguda into a world-class super specialty hospital while participating in the ‘Seva Parv-2025’. The bed strength of Bhimsar Medical College, which is 1485, will be increased to 2650 beds at a cost of Rs 1610 crore. This step will transform the hospital into a state-of-the-art medical center and improve healthcare services. He said that the double engine government is committed to further strengthening the health infrastructure in Sambalpur district under the leadership of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
State Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Ravi Nayak and Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Gokulanand Mallick were prominent participants in the event.
